<p>Well, you&#8217;ve been training really hard, for the past months you  have spend a lot of time in the gym. And, actually, it worked, but maybe not in the way you&#8217;ll prefer. Now, you are huge, that&#8217;s a fact, but you are not the big mass of muscle you wanted to be.  You have now in your body some excess of body fat.</p>
<p>And no matter how &#8220;huge&#8221; you might be, nobody wants to walk around with a soft, smooth and flabby body. After most trainees have finished their &#8220;bulking&#8221; phase, they decide that it&#8217;s time to &#8220;cut down&#8221; and strip off the excess body fat that they gained due to their high calorie, muscle-building diet. How do they usually go about this? They lighten up the weights and perform higher reps.</p>
<p>It has been widely accepted that if you light up the weight and perform higher reps you&#8217;ll get muscle definition. There are still a lot of trainersin the gym that will confirm that.  They&#8217;ll tell you that &#8220;heavy weights bulk up the muscle and lighter weights define the muscle&#8221;. If someone told you that, and you tried to get ripped in that way, you now know something&#8230;that&#8217;s not true.</p>
<p>It couldn&#8217;t be farther from the truth. In fact, there is no logical basis for this way of training. No exercise will give you more definition than another. It is physically impossible to target fat loss from a specific area on your body. In other words, no excersice will magically burn fat off of your chest or cause it to appear more defined.</p>
<p>Every single time you wrap your hands around a barbell, dumbbell or cable, your goal is to stimulate as much muscle growth as you possibly can. There are no special, secret weightlifting exercises that will &#8220;define&#8221; your muscles or cause them to become more &#8220;ripped&#8221;. Training with weights builds muscle mass, end of story.</p>
<p>So how exactly do you &#8220;define&#8221; a muscle? The only way to &#8220;define&#8221; a muscle is by lowering your body fat percentage in order to make your muscles more visible. Body fat reduction can be achieved in two ways:</p>
<p>1) Modify your diet. You&#8217;ll need to create a slight caloric deficit within your body to stimulate the fat burning process. This can usually be achieved by lowering your overall caloric intake to around 11-13x your bodyweight and focusing on consuming smaller meals more frequently throughout the day. This will keep your metabolism naturally raised at all times and will keep your body in a constant fat burning state.</p>
<p>2) Perform proper cardio workouts. Let go of the traditional method of moderate intensity cardio in 30-45 minute durations. Reduce your body fat simply by burning off all the excess fat you can with 15-minute cardio workouts performed 3-5 times per week at higher levels of intensity.</p>
<p>So, that&#8217;s all you have to do. &#8220;Light weight and higher reps&#8221;, leave that in the past, follow these simple steps and i guarantee that you&#8217;ll see the definition that you are looking for.</p>

<p>Before anything, you should get a full physical from your doctor. This is a must for people that have high cholesterol, diabetes or are obese. When you get your doctor&#8217;s approval to begin your excersie program you then schedule a fitness test with your personal trainer at your gym.</p>
<p>While both of these are incredibly annoying, they are essential to your success and well-being. The benefits of a doctor&#8217;s visit are obvious, particularly if you have one or more of the previously mentioned conditions but it also allows you and your doctor to discuss your lifestyle. Preventative medicine is far better than reactive medicine. Make your doctor part of your fat loss and health-building team along with the health professionals at your gym.</p>
<p>The benefits of your fitness test is about learning about your strenghts and weakness, not just to see how much body fat you have. If you want to success with your program you have to know what you are capable of.</p>
<p>The next step is to aproach your fitness program with patiente. Don&#8217;t try to do what you did years ago, because I guarantee you won&#8217;t last more than a few days. And then, you will dread your next work out for the rest of the year.</p>
<p>One unknown benefit of your fitness assesment is that it will give you a nice workout to start with. It will give you a real view of what your body is up to. Once you do your fitness test you will know what your body weakness are and what you can really do and you will learn to work under those limits.</p>
<p>Now for the fourth part, you have to define your goals. If you define a plan and stick to it you will have more success than just promissing to lose weight every now and then. If you don&#8217;t currently do any excersise, start with a basic program. Remember that your body didn&#8217;t get out of shape in a day, and it will take some time to work it up.</p>
<p>Limit your initial workouts to 1 set per muscle group. In week 2, you should be ready to add another set. And if you want to build up to 3 sets, then do so in week 3. Slowly increase the weight and stay within your desired repetition range. At no time should you be too sore to function. And runners should also heed this advice. Too much running will guarantee shin splints in the early going. Avoid running on back to back days for the first two weeks and keep the distance short. Sore muscles are guaranteed when you lift. So keep the volume low.</p>
<p>Ok, now you are ready for two fantastic secrets that will help you stay commited to your fitness program and really start losing fat once and for all.</p>
<p>First, get a social support team. This can be your family (like your spouse, kids, parents and brother) or your close friends. Don&#8217;t try to do it alone. They are part of your success. People respond better when they report to a person instead of a machine.</p>
<p>The second most important factor is nutrition. For any fat loss diet program, this is a must. The first fat you lose will be because you change your eating choices. If you don&#8217;t make better eating choices, no amount of workouts is going to get you to lose fat.</p>
<p>Nutrition is not difficult. Just don&#8217;t push it. Check with your doctor or nutritionist and remember what mom told you. Don&#8217;t eat sugar or conr syrup and keep a log of your food intake.</p>
<p>Consistency with this plan will achieve your fat loss program without problems. Remember that this is for your future health.</p>

<p>There must be some reason why some girls are never happy with the way their bodies look while other girls are always comfortable in their own skins. Why is this? There are many factors, and self esteem issues are only one of the possibilities.</p>
<p>Gender is an issue. Eating disorders are more common in women than in men, but there has been a dramatic increase in the number of boys and young men who have developed the same eating disorders that their female peers experience; both anorexia and bulimia are seen.</p>
<p>Age does matter: while eating disorders have been known to either occur or recur as late as middle age, the bulk of eating disorder sufferers are younger, in their teens or early twenties.</p>
<p>Another factor is having someone who is close to you who has an eating disorder. For instance, if a family member or a close friend suffers from an eating disorder, your risk rises. This is counterintuitive but has been shown by studies to be the case.</p>
<p>Persons with compulsive behavior such as an OCD are also far more likely than the general public to develop these disorders. These people have a tendency to develop eating disorders as another way of maintaining control over their environment. Women who suffer from anxiety disorders or depression are also at increased risk.</p>
<p>Some athletes and exercise fanatics are at risk of developing eating disorders under the pretense that it will enhance their performance.</p>
<p>And then there are the societal pressures that impact your self image to a huge extent.  If your mom or sister frequently remarks on your less-than-perfect body and hints that you could lose a few pounds, even with a teasing approach, things can take a terrible twist into an eating disorder that destroys your body.</p>
<p>If you happen to fall into any of the above categories, you should take steps to ensure that you won&#8217;t fall victim to an eating disorder - or if you already suffer from one, prevent the condition from worsening. Ask your doctor what a healthy weight is for your body type and how best to maintain it.</p>
<p>If those around you are criticizing you destructively, try building your confidence by socializing with people who don&#8217;t criticize you unnecessarily.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t get caught up in the fantasy of looking like a supermodel off the cover of Vogue magazine; it is far better to focus on becoming a beautiful person on the inside. <p>It is an unfair comparison because weight loss after pregnancy this way is not possible for the vast majority of mothers. A great deal of strain is placed on a woman when she gives birth so initially she really should be looking at recovering by ensuring she maintains a healthy diet. This sort of diet will enable her to regain her strength and also improve her energy levels so it should not exceed 2,000 calories per day; the main constituents of her daily diet should be:</p>
<p>*Fifty percent intake of carbohydrates *Protein (30 percent) *10 percent fats</p>
<p>These percentages leave a little for a few of life&#8217;s luxuries which we all need but should not indulge too much in if getting those pounds off is important. Nevertheless, even a new mother requires some exercise to tone her body back up again after the exertion experienced from having a child; it will also give her some incentive when she sees the results. Where many mothers go wrong is they try too hard and end up becoming despondent so the idea is to take it easy and enjoy yourself these days you exercise and the gradual change it brings.</p>
<p>This can be an excellent way to begin your weight loss after pregnancy but remember that your individual reduction will depend on a number of things one of which is how much you gained whilst you were pregnant. It is important that every mother knows that certain metabolic changes took place when the baby was born which can also have an effect on how quickly she loses weight. The order of the day is that losing weight after pregnancy will be more consistent and healthy if it is achieved slowly but surely through a healthy diet and regular physical activity.</p>
<p>The main purpose is to reduce the overall body fat while improving muscle tone at the same time although this should be a gradual process. <p>All living things breathe - us humans most of all. Breathing is so important and so intertwined with our bodily functions that nature hardwired our brains to control our breathing automatically.</p>
<p>Air is one of the materials that make us live, much like food and water.  10% of our energy comes from food and water, and the remaining 90% comes from - you guessed it - oxygen.</p>
<p>Eastern beliefs have long known the benefits of getting enough oxygen, and today the western world is beginning to know it&#8217;s importance in therapies and practices.  Many alternative healing advocates, including myself,  emphasize it as the most important health tip we can ever give you.</p>
<p>The reason for that is this - An average person can survive for three weeks without food, and three days without water, but without oxygen, we can&#8217;t live through three minutes.</p>
<p>As a result, a lack of oxygen leaves the body more vulnerable to many serious ailments.  Oxygen is put into every single cell of the body through breathing, and if you are not breathing properly, some cells do not get the oxygen that they need, thus making them prone to develop afflictions.</p>
<p>The fact that so many of us don&#8217;t know how to breathe properly has contributed greatly to the rise of medical conditions such as migraines, vertigo, obesity, and hypertension. Several other factors also contribute to the lack of oxygen getting into our systems, such as pollution and stress, but none of these factors are as serious as not breathing properly.</p>
<p>Here is a simple exercise.  Place your hands on your lower abdomen and exhale all the air out of your lungs. Then take a deep, slow, natural breath through your nose. If you feel your midsection expand as your lungs take in air, then you&#8217;re probably breathing normally.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the thing - deep, proper breathing should fill the lungs to the very bottom, which causes our abdomens to expand. So many of us breathe shallowly, expanding our ribcages instead (which can only expand so much). We get less oxygen as a result and, done unconsciously over several years, can manifest in a potentially life-changing disease.</p>
<p>Now sit back and think of your health. Do you suffer from something that won&#8217;t go away anytime soon, such as hypertension or chronic migraines? Your doctors may imply certain causes and suggest certain remedies, but nothing will really make these disorders go away until you start learning to breathe properly.</p>

To cite a few common examples, if you have started strength training, gotten big or lost a lot of weight at any point in your life, or had a child then you have most likely done battle with stretch marks.</p>
<p>Some people, unfortunately, are just so embarrassed about stretch marks and distressed by them, they begin to camouflage the affected places - it can&#8217;t be healthy for anyone to feel they have to do that, instead you need to aggressively target the issue. Stretch marks are a sore issue, there is no easy way to put it, but not taking action and letting them pick what you wear just isn&#8217;t the best solution to repairing the situation at hand - it&#8217;s your health and you must maintain it as best you can.</p>
<p>Getting rid of stretch marks can be an expensive business, there are new techniques and methods being advertised all of the time, so how do you know what works best? Microdermabrasion or laser surgery are often used as last resorts, and aren&#8217;t cheap methods to employ. Yet there are other ways to do it safely and healthily while improving your body as you go along.</p>
<p>The purchase of Stretch mark removal creams and lotions designed specifically for treating stretch marks are one method most people use, but you can also make your own lotions by purchasing vitamin E tablets and taking daily or the capsules containing the oil themselves - break them open and rub them gently onto the affected area.</p>
<p>Getting rid of stretch marks can be done from home too! If you time when you apply creams, bought or home-made then you can regulate how your skin ingests the creams for maximum potential benefit. Applying after a shower or bathing, can make a huge difference to how well the cream &#8217;sinks&#8217; into your skin thus increasing the elasticity which is what was lost when the stretch marks happened in the first place.</p>

<p>Fixing your skin problems could just mean taking a better look at what&#8217;s on your dinner plate. Often we sabotage our efforts at healthy skin by eating or drinking the wrong things.
